My life has changed a lot in the past couple of years. Everything is turning out different than I expected. And this summer was no exception.
Since I don’t have a “real job”, but I still have a lot of work to do, I can travel… or not. All I have to do is get my work done before leaving. Or I can work while travelling. But that’s not too much fun.
Anyway, at the end of June I finished writing my book Inglés Coloquial.
In July, I went to Santander with some Spanish friends. I stayed at my friend’s house in the center of Santander, and had a great time. For me, the most exciting part was that my friend’s mother made cocido montañés, one of my favorite foods. We also did some nice walks in the towns around Santander. I got a bit sunburned at the beach, but otherwise enjoyed the cool weather, the food and the beautiful landscapes.

Mi vida ha cambiado mucho en los últimos años. Todo está saliendo diferente de lo que esperaba. Y este verano no fue la excepción.
Como no tengo un "trabajo real", pero todavía tengo mucho trabajo por hacer, puedo viajar ... o no. Todo lo que tengo que hacer es terminar mi trabajo antes de irme. O puedo trabajar mientras viajo. Pero eso no es muy divertido.
De todos modos, a finales de junio terminé de escribir mi libro Inglés Coloquial.
En julio fui a Santander con unos amigos españoles. Me quedé en casa de mi amigo en el centro de Santander y lo pasé muy bien. Para mí, lo más emocionante fue que la mamá de mi amiga hizo cocido montañés, una de mis comidas favoritas. También hicimos unos agradables paseos por los pueblos de Santander. Me quemé un poco con el sol en la playa, pero por lo demás disfruté del clima fresco, la comida y los hermosos paisajes.
