De Ecuador:
Galapagos albatro:
The Galapagos albatrous, or wavy albatross, is the only member of the Diomedeidae family that inhabits the tropics and breeds only on the island of Hispaniola of the Galapagos Islands. Nests are built in areas of lava.
- They are known for their perfect flying skills when using the speed of the wind to travel long distances. The flat fields are also the perfect place for nesting sites and the nearby cold water streams bring a lot of food.
ANDEAN TUCAN:
The Andean Piquilaminate Toucan, in English known as Grey-breasted Mountain-Toucan or Plate-Billed Mountain Toucan, is a species of the Ramphasidae family. It is native to Colombia and Ecuador and lives in high humid montane forests of the Andes. There are no known subspecies.
- They use their beaks as a pincer, stretching their necks forward to reach for food. It is a sedentary species that lives in a single area for its entire life or much of it. Toucans are not migratory birds, they are usually found in pairs or in small flocks of about six members.
