Escribir: I'm writing my opinion about this article (presente). I was writing my opinion about this article (pasado progresivo).
Hablar un idioma: She is speaking a language from China (presente). She was speaking a language of China (pasado progresivo).
Conocer: They are meeting the new girl from Moscow (presente). They were meeting the new girl from Moscow (pasado progresivo).
