Last week, I went camping and mountain climbing with a few of my friends. Tom organized the whole trip. He's quite the adventurer and has a lot of experience doing these kinds of things. I'd never gon mountain climbing before, so I had to build up a lot of nerve before finally deciding to take my chances and go for it! I have to admit, once I was climbing at such a high altitude , I began to have second thoughts . When we finally made it to the top, though, I decided it was all worth it!

Adam: I'm going skydiving this weekend! I'm so excited! Do you want to come with me? Sue: Umm. no thanks. I'll have to pass up your offer . Jumping from planes isn't really my thing, you know. Adam: But it's so thrilling when you're soaring through the air. It feels like flying! Sue: You've always been more daring than I am. Adam: What are you worried about? You'll have a parachute . I don't want to pressure you. If you don't feel comfortable, I'll understand.

This morning, I heard a frightening news story about a group of college students on vacation. The group decided to go on a dangerous hiking
expedition. Unfortunately, the trip had a bad ending. They came across a clearing with a waterfall and one of the students decided to dive, from quite a high distance, into the pool below. The water was not so deep so his body hit the rocky bottom. A rescue team arrived on the scene about an hour later.After sizing up the situation, they determined he had a concussion and a few broken bones. I couldn't believe he would risk his life like that!
