El personal se retiró mientras los comensales disfrutaban de los budines, tortas y helados. Volvieron en cuanto dejaron de comer. “El café será servido en el salón contiguo”, anunció el mayordomo.
Todos los invitados al banquete se trasladaron al salón contiguo, donde se acomodaron en sillones y sofás. El mayordomo y sus ayudantes les acercaron tazas de café y pequeñas copas de licores.
