MY HOUSE

My name is Robert. I live in a house near the sea. It’s an old house, about 100 years old, and it’s very small. There are two bedrooms upstairs but no bathroom. The bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen and there’s a living room where there’s a lovely old fireplace.

In winter, I have a big fire in the fireplace and I like to sit by the fire and read. There’s a garden in front of the house and at the end of the garden is the beach. In spring and summer there are flowers everywhere. When the weather is good I often eat lunch in the garden and look out over the sea. There are usually many birds above the fishing boats and I enjoy watching the birds very much.

I live alone with my dog Boxer, but we have a lot of visitors. My friends from the city often stay with me for the holidays.

I love my house for many reasons: the garden, the flowers and the birds in summer, the fire in winter, but the best thing is the view from my bedroom window.
