Richard Antonio Carapaz Montenegro is a national hero. His nickname is “La Locomotora de El Carchi” because he cycles fast and furiously every day. He’s from El Carchi, and he lives in his wonderful hometown. He sometimes travels to Italy to train or participate in races. He’s married and he has two beautiful children.
He usually participates in different races around the world. His most important victory was the Giro d’Italia in 2019. He has some other medals and trophies every year. His family and friends always admire him because of his hard work. Richard is a brave and easygoing athlete.
