Many of the Irish emigrants during The Irish Potato Famine chose the United States as their new home. What was one pull factor which contributed to that choice? What makes this factor a pull factor?

maimai481295: People believed that life was better in the United States

Because the problem they had was the famine that they could not eat well or have the products they needed, because of a plague that affected them it devastated the potato crops in Europe during the 1840s. However, the impact in Ireland was disproportionate, as a third of the population depended on potatoes for several ethnic, religious, political, social, and economic reasons.
