Tamales

Ingredients

1 kilo of white dough for tortillas

1/2 liter of broth where the stuffing meat was cooked

400 grams of pork butter

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon of salt (or just a pinch if sweet tamales are required)

50 leaves of corn for tamale washed, soaked and dried

*Preparation *

The dough and the broth are whipped very well by hand or with the mixer (by hand for 20 minutes).

In addition, the butter is beaten until fluffy and added to the dough.

It continues to be stirred vigorously until when you put a piece in a cup of cold water it floats, add the baking powder and salt and mix well.

A tablespoon of dough is distributed on each tamale leaf, the filling is added, folded and cooked in a tamalera on a mattress of tamale leaves.

Cook for 45 minutes, or until they come off easily from the leaves.
