A worker was denied permission to attend his uncle's funeral and reacted by posting insults to his superiors on Facebook. As a result of that post, he was fired. The worker sued the courts, who agreed with him and described the publication as a “relief”, dismissing that there was an intention to disrespect the employers. The court also considered that the messages posted on Facebook belonged to the sphere of the worker's privacy.

In another case, an employee of a company who requested a permit to move her house was caught sunbathing on a beach, through photos she posted on Instagram. In her profile she also made fun of her boss, whom she described as not being exactly very intelligent. This publication was used as a basis by the company to sanction it. The employee appealed to justice and, on this occasion, another court considered that the messages were offensive and when they were published on Instagram they did not belong to the sphere of the worker's privacy. She had disclosed them in a conspicuous way and without limitations.
