La familia es la base de la sociedad ya que si una familia forma en valores a sus hijos se formará una sociedad justa, equitativa y con personas que salgan adelante y hagan el bien.
El dialogo en las familias de antes y de hoy es sumamente importante para la construcción de esta y una buena relación de padres-hijos. Aunque esta muchas veces se rompe o no simplemente no existe ya que los padres al querer brindarles mayores facilidades a sus hijos trabajan durante casi todo el día y dejan al cuidado de los abuelos o de otra persona de confianza a los hijos. Creo que ambas partes, hijos o padres si se presenta este tipo de casos u otros en los que no haya comunicación, buscar momentos en los cuales hablar, intercambiar ideas, pensamientos del día eso hace que el dialogo sea prolijo y que se haga con mayor frecuencia.
En el siglo XIX la familia se integra al mercado y la mujer se hace cargo de la educación de los hijos, desplazando al padre que en el siglo pasado era la autoridad máxima porque este comenzó a trabajar en diferentes actividades. La mujer, hoy por hoy, cumple en muchas familias el papel de padre y madre, más aun en las familias monoparentales donde ellas son cabeza de familia. Mucho antes solo trabajaba el padre y la madre se encargaba de formar a los hijos, en estos tiempos los dos padres trabajan y hasta hay familias en la mujer es la proveedora material y el padre se encarga de los deberes del hogar.
