Se usa para decir que algo es mío, suyo, de ella, de él, de ellos, nuestro o de mí parte, de su parte, de la parte de ella, etc.

En el 2do punto donde hay que subrayar, te podes dar cuenta de cuál es la opción correcta por el verb to be, ya que la conjugación siempre es Sujeto + Verb to be. También cabe aclarar que en el adjetivo posesivo de "it" es "its" sin apostrofe, con apostrofe es la abreviación del verb to be "is" ('s).
