ACTIVITY # 2
Read the following blogpost about a teen who tells us an interesting story. Observe the use of simple past (-ed) and past continuos (was/were+ing). Before it color in the text:
Hi! I am Rosy. I lived in the country as a child. It was an excellent time of my life. I remember one day, I was going to the river because it was my favorite place to take a shower or refresh myself. As I was walking, I saw a little girl, she was very beautiful with her long black hair. She was crying. I immediately ran up to her, and as I was getting closer, she stood up and ran away. I ran faster to catch up with her. When I finally got there it, she turned and I could see her face was full of scars. I screamed like crazy and returned to my house. I told the story to my mom and she told me that it happened to girls like me who didn’t listen to their mothers. My mommy always told me not to go to the river alone, but I never paid attention. It was my favorite place and I had lots of fun over there. However, I learned the lesson. So kids, always listen to your mother!! I really don’t know how but they always know what the best is for us. ¡Hola! Yo soy Rosy. Viví en el campo cuando era niño. Fue un excelente momento de mi vida. Recuerdo que un día iba al río porque era mi lugar favorito para ducharme o refrescarme. Mientras caminaba, vi a una niña, era muy hermosa con su largo cabello negro. Ella estaba llorando. Inmediatamente corrí hacia ella y, a medida que me acercaba, se levantó y se escapó. Corrí más rápido para alcanzarla. Cuando finalmente llegué allí, se volvió y pude ver que su rostro estaba lleno de cicatrices. Grité como loco y regresé a mi casa. Le conté la historia a mi mamá y ella me dijo que les pasó a chicas como yo que no escuchaban a sus madres. Mi mami siempre me decía que no fuera sola al río, pero nunca le presté atención. Era mi lugar favorito y me divertí mucho allí. Sin embargo, aprendí la lección. ¡¡Niños, escuchen siempre a su madre !! Realmente no sé cómo, pero siempre saben qué es lo mejor para nosotros.

La pregunta en si pide la traducción y que osea quede en tu mente saber identificar cuando está en pasado simple y cuando está en pasado continuo aquí te dejo unos conceptos fáciles de aprender:
Pasado simple: se utiliza como auxiliar el ''did'' y pues en negativo ''didn't'' en su forma contraida, o ''did not'' en su forma completa.
Pasado continuo: se utiliza el was - were, y el verbo termina en ''ing''.
