Personality derived from the word “persona” means the characteristics that make you unique, different from every other person on earth. Your culture is the shared patterns of behaviors that are learned through a process of socialization. Culture can be divided into material culture and mental culture. Material culture involves the artifacts produced in your society: clothing, food, housing, manufactured goods, music, art and very much more. Mental culture does not only include all you learn when you are raised in your culture. This also covers your beliefs, values, expectations as to how people behave, and your perception of people’s social roles. In addition, mental culture involves your understanding of the appropriate procedures in your culture and all the knowledge you acquired as you grew up interacting with other members of your culture.
