"Betty" Cooper:
is the daughter of Hal and Alice Cooper, sister of Polly Cooper and half-sister of Charles Smith, the girlfriend of Jughead Jones, and the aunt of the twin babies of Jason and Polly.2 It was revealed that the Blossom family and Cooper are related making her cousin to Jason and Cheryl.
Betty is a student at Riverdale High and is best friends with Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Kevin Keller, and Veronica Lodge. As the only daughter left in the Cooper household, her mother put immense pressure on her to be perfect in every way.
In the second season when the Black Hood terrorizes the city, Betty is threatened by him to do what he tells her in exchange for not murdering anyone. Betty manages to catch the Black Hood who turned out to be her father, Hal Cooper.
During the fourth season, she takes her mother out of La Granja and begins training with her half-brother Charles at the FBI, who was presumed dead. Her boyfriend Jughead changes schools, and there he is murdered by his classmates.
Veronica Cecilia Lodge:
is the daughter of Hiram and Hermione Lodge. Veronica is a Riverdale High School student and a member of River Vixens. Andrews, Veronica sees her parents as the prime suspects. With the discovery of her parents' secret purchase of Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, Veronica was able to persuade them to grant her a more involved role at Lodge Industries.
Not long after being accepted into her father's inner circle, Veronica would soon realize the truth behind her true intentions for Riverdale and how she handled her business. Her actions later affected the way people viewed Veronica as she had lied to many of them. Determined to make up for her father's misdeeds, Veronica tried to stop her monopolization of Southside. Hiram agreed to make the exchange, but as a result of this, he also stripped Veronica of all her duties in regards to Lodge Industries, as well as completely cut her off using her money.

He struggles to find the truth behind his father's loyalties and intentions, as he fears what will happen once he gets out of prison and returns home to them. Meanwhile, she is also trying to reform herself into a better person.
Forsythe "Jughead" Jones III (played by Cole Sprouse) is the son of FP and Gladys Jones, the brother of Jellybean Jones and the boyfriend of Betty Cooper.3
Jughead was a freshman at Riverdale High, but after his father's arrest, FP Jones, the leader of the snakes, was placed in foster care and had to be transferred to Southside High as a result. While attending gang and drug infested high school, he reopened the school newspaper, the Red and the Black, where he was an editor, along with new recruit Toni Topaz. However, with the closure of Southside High, Jughead returned to Riverdale High. He is a close friend of Archie Andrews and Betty Cooper, with whom he has a relationship. He is also a member of the Southside Serpents, which he joined shortly after his father's arrest.
