Pros: It gives a huge facility to the creation of different things such as; bottles, toys, utensils, etc. As well as being highly recyclable, and being able to be mass produced.

Cons: Despite being recyclable, not many people actually DO recycle it, only a 9% of the plastic (stuff like bottles or any type of disposable thing) is actually recycled. Maybe you could say it isn't THAT big of a deal, but in reality, 400 million tons of plastic are produced yearly. This affects a lot with the global warming and contaminates the oceans.
