titulo:

Accepting to be different

4 characters:

Amalia: Shy and demure girl, victim of bullying

Carolina: Amalia's friend who advises and consoles her, a humble but less shy girl.

Beatriz: Outgoing, presumptuous girl who makes fun of Amalia.

David: Beatriz's friend who supports her in her teasing towards Amalia.

Setting: neighborhood square in the middle of several houses, where the characters live.

Introduction: Beatriz and David walk through the neighborhood square when they meet Amalia and Carolina.

SINGLE ACT

Beatriz (laughing sarcastically): Look who's coming there, the neighborhood nun! The most beautiful and sexy.

David (laughing mockingly and trying to touch Amalia): Hello pretty, you have me in love with so much ... UGLY

Carolina (annoyed and speaking loudly): Don't you have anything else to do? Stop bothering Amalia now.

Amalia remains silent, looking at the floor feeling very embarrassed, while the other characters continue arguing among themselves.

David (still being sarcastic): Do you see how the queen of the neighborhood has her slave to defend her? No one is talking to you, we talk to your ugly friend.

Beatriz (approaching Amalia without stopping laughing): What an ugly step, did the mice eat your tongue?

Carolina (very annoyed): Well now! Stop bothering her. Don't you get tired? They have made fun of Amalia for years. What need do they have to hurt someone who has never hurt them?

Beatriz (stopping laughing and talking annoyed with Carolina): And what need do you have to get into something that is not your problem? I laugh at the ugly woman, because her presence bothers me, seeing her makes my eyes hurt, and she insists on facing me, if she doesn't want me to make fun of her, she has to disappear from the neighborhood.

Carolina (speaking in a lower tone): She does not have to disappear, this neighborhood is not yours, we all live here and we have the right to be in the place we want and you ...

Amalia (interrupting Carolina and walking towards Beatriz): No Caro, she doesn't bother me because her eyes hurt, or because she is ugly, she bothers me because she hates what she is and cannot stand that I am different from her, yes I am different and I am proud to be. I can stand in front of anyone without feeling that they see me as a bad example, I do not have to bother anyone to feel safe, nor do I have to show that I am very bad for them to accept me. You do that Beatriz, because you are insecure and you need to win the approval of others to think that you are someone, what a shame it is!

Amalia finishes talking and begins to walk, Carolina follows behind her and they walk away.

Beatriz (tapping her feet on the floor): David, why did you allow that ugly woman to talk to me like that?

David (looking at her as if studying her): You know Beatriz? the ugly woman is right, your eyes do not hurt, your soul hurts because of how rotten you are, and it hurts me to have lost my personality to play your game, you will have to find another accomplice, the ugly woman has everything The reason, how stupid we see ourselves making fun of someone to think that we are better.

David walks away from Beatriz and she is left with her mouth open without believing what she has just heard.
