The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World had a very successful year, according to figures that were published yesterday. The resort was so popular in the week between Christmas and New Year that the gates were closed on three separate occasions and disappointed visitors were turned away.

Tourists and residents have been warned to take precautions against mosquitoes carrying the Triple E virus. The virus was found in several lakes in the area, and the authorities have begun to spray large ereas with insecticide. People have been advised to stay indoor early evening when mosquitoes are out in force.
