Question

It was a day I’ll never forget. I was on holiday with a group of friends in Mexico, and o_____ afternoon we decided to go scuba diving. It wasn’t my first time but I was feeling excited. We hired a boat, got all the equipment on board, and sailed to a quiet part of the sea. One by one, we jumped into the calm, clear waters. My partner Sam and I headed east and we s____ arrived at a shoal of brightly-coloured fish. Sam took photos while I watched their funny little movements. s____ , the fish departed for no apparent reason. One m_____ they were there and the next they weren’t. It didn’t take long for the reason to become clear. A dolphin was heading towards us. I didn’t move. I’d never seen one underwater before and I wasn’t sure what to do. The dolphin stopped in front of me and looked at me. I could see something was wrong in its eyes. I looked around and realized there was a fisherman’s net was caught around its tail and one of its fins. The dolphin was asking me for help. I tried to pull the net but it wouldn’t move. “What do I do?” I thought. Sam handed me a small pocket knife and I started cutting. The dolphin kept moving away but each time it came back, I managed to cut a little bit more. E____ , after about five minutes, the whole net came away and floated to the sea bed. The dolphin, now free, swam away quickly and I turned to give Sam the thumbs up sign. Then, a moment l____ , something amazing happened. The dolphin came back and touched my hand with its nose before swimming off for a final time. It was an incredible moment in my life.
