Hi everyone! Today, I’m writing about cool jobs. In particular, I want to tell you about my cousin, Tina. She’s studying at university at the moment, but she has the coolest part-time job ever. Believe it or not, she works as a mascot for my hometown's football team! Yes, she’s Alice the Eagle! Every time there’s a game, Tina is there, but nobody knows it’s her because she dresses up in the eagle costume with a huge eagle head. It’s her job to encourage everyone to cheer more loudly for the team. She runs around and does silly things like dancing around the pitch. She says that working as a mascot has its ups and downs. It’s great fun at the stadium posing for pictures with all the fans and getting to know the players. Perhaps the best thing is hearing everyone shouting out her name - Alice the Eagle, unfortunately! It’s not an easy job, though. One thing she doesn’t like is that she mustn’t talk to anyone when she’s in costume! Also, during the summer the Eagle costume gets too hot. On those days, she’s glad when the game is over. At least she doesn’t have to take the costume home to wash it! Of course, Tina doesn’t want to be Alice the Eagle forever. When she finishes university, she wants to become an accountant. For now, though, she’s happy to carry on running around a football pitch. OK, over to you, readers.
