For the first time in a decade, Willy Wonka, the lonely and eccentric chocolate maker, opens the doors of his factory to the public, to five children to be exact. For this reason, he included five golden bills in his chocolates.
The five lucky ones who found the tickets were awarded a guided tour given by Mr. Wonka himself.
For Charlie Bucket, this is a dream come true, and when he finds a dollar on the street he can't help buying two bars of Wonka's delicious chocolate.
When Charlie opens the second chocolate, he discovers one of the bills. The next day Charlie and the other four winning children can enter the factory to find out if the rumors surrounding the factory and the mysterious owner are true.
What they find is that what is believed cannot be compared with the extraordinary reality, and for Charlie life will never be the same.
