RESUMEN: En este artículo se describe la similitud entre el ser humano y el vegetal en los ámbitos de la interrelación, la comunicación, los sentidos y la inteligencia, concluyendo que, siendo la planta un ser vivo con amplia semejanza con el hombre, debería ser tratado con el mismo respeto y la dignidad pertinente como lo exigimos para nosotros mismos. Una manera de asegurar que las plantas sean manejadas respetuosamente es sembrarlos y plantarlos en sistemas agroforestales, donde las especies producen bajo condiciones similares a la naturaleza.

ABSTRACT: The article describes the similitude between the human and the vegetables in the interrelation, the communication, the senses and intelligence, with the conclusion that the plants have many similarities to the human being and must be treated with the same respect and dignity, as we claim for ourselves. Agroforestry systems offer the technique to produce similar like in nature, assuring the respectfully management of productive species.
