Climate change: this is the main environmental problem in the actual world, statistics published by NASA state that global temperatures have risen by 1.7 degrees Farenheit since 1880, which is directly linked to a reduction in Arctic ice of 13.3% per decade.
Polar ice caps: this environmental issue that involves the melting of polar ice caps is a continuous one and there's a strong evidence that sea levels are rising, due to this issue. The consequences of this problem would be extensive flooding, contamination of drinking water and major changes in ecosystems.
Transportation: due to the emission of greenhouse gases, such as petroleum which could lead to the destruction of natural habitats and an increase in air pollution.
Natural resource use: because of its massive use by humanity, the world could face major environmental problems, such as air pollution and population growth leading to crisis.
The nitrogen cycle: the excess levels of nitrogen in water can cause issues in marine ecosystems by overstimulation of plant and algae growth, putting in danger the marine population.
