Dear Chilli,
I had a fantastic holiday in Jamaica. It was hot and the sea was blue and lovely.
I travelled by plane from London to Kingston. I really enjoyed the flight. It was eight hours long but I did’t sleep at all because I was so excited. During the flight I listened to music, watched a film and talked
to the girl in the seat next to me
I ……stayed……………… with my aunt and uncle in Kingston. They ………invited…………. me on a trip to Montego Bay. We ……stopped……………. at an Orchid Farm. It was brilliant. On my last night there I ……didn’t get……………… to bed until there o’clock in the morning!
See you soon!
Love, Della

Jamaica is an island nation of the Greater Antilles, located in the northwestern Caribbean Sea, about 145 kilometers (90 miles) south of Cuba and 191 kilometers (119 miles) west of the island of Hispaniola, where Haiti and the Dominican Republic are located.

9. What do the tourists do in Jamaica?

Tourists arrive mostly on large ships, stopping on the island as part of their Caribbean cruise.

Jamaica is an island country in the Caribbean Sea. It lies south of Cuba and west of the island of Hispaniola that is shared by Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

One can notice various fruit and fresh fish vendors on Jamaican beaches, and numerous musicians, jewelers and people selling clothes constantly walk by – as in other places with nice beaches.

10. How is the life for Jamaican people?

The life in Jamaica is normal. Their life is not that different from that in the United States. They dress much like Americans, wearing Nikes, T-shirts, and jeans; watch television; listen to music; and go to movies. British influence is evident in sports and education. Today, popular culture, although uniquely Jamaican, is more often developed on the American model. Jamaica is not by any standard a rich country, and quality of life is low for many of the country's people. Family life is central for most Jamaicans
