Monday, 3rd March, 2005 7:00am: I don’t want to go to football practice today because my teammates make fun of my ears. Yesterday I told my mom that I didn’t feel well to avoid going today, but she is making me go anyway. 6:30pm: Today, when I arrived at football practice, my teammates laughed at me again. They called me by the nickname ‘orejon’ and it seems like they didn’t remember my name. The coach didn’t say anything. Then, Mario, the captain, started to insult me and I didn’t know how to defend myself. I just stood there and pretended to ignore him, but I felt terrible. It was very distracting to me when they made fun of my ears. It was hard for me to play football well. Finally, by the end of the day, I went home and felt very sad and helpless. Erickson
