Michael Duane Johnson (Dallas, Texas, United States, September 13, 1967) is a retired American athlete, a specialist in 200 and 400 meter tests. He won four Olympic gold medals and owned, until the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (where South African Wayde van Niekerk reached a time of 43.03 seconds), the world record of 400 meters with 43.18 seconds. We also pulverized the world record of the 200 at the Atlanta 96 Olympiad — record that was in possession of the last white recordman (Pietro Mennea) - until Usain Bolt beat it again.
