In the first paragraph of the lyrics of the song "perfect" by Edd Sheeran, it says "i found a love for me, darling, just dive right in, and follow my lead, w, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet" For me that means how someone is talking about his girlfriend or someone he likes and how beautiful she is. He also expresses that she is like a treasure.
In the second line of the song it says: "I never knew you were the person who expected me, because we were only children when we fell in love" .
This refers to the fact that in the boy's perspective he did not know that he was really in love, because normally the people we like as children do not become our partner.
Then in the song he says: "Honey, just kiss me slowly, your heart is all I have, and in your eyes, you are holding mine" this is a metaphor, because it says that when they have eye contact it is as if their heart is " belonged" to the girl.
I think that this song expresses a young love, and with which several adolescents could identify.
