1. The hotel wasn’t clean. And it wasn’t comfortable. The hotel was neither clean nor comfortable.

2. It was a very boring movie. It was very long too. The movie was  both boring and very long.

3. Is that man’s name Richard? Or is it Robert? It’s one of the two. That man’s name is either Richard or Robert.

4. I don’t have the time to take a vacation. And I don’t have the money. I have neither the time nor the money to take vacation.

5. We can leave today or we can leave tomorrow- whichever you prefer. We can either leave today or tomorrow.

6. He gave up his job because he needed a change. Also because the pay was low. He gave up his job both because he needed a change and because of the pay.

7. Laura doesn’t smoke. And she doesn’t eat meat.

Laura neither smokes nor eats meat.

Both, and, either, or, neither, nor son palabras determinantes que se deben usar mediante ciertas circunstancias y seguir algunas reglas de la gramática inglesa.

¿Cómo se usan both, either y neither en inglés?

  • Both, either y neither son palabras determinantes que se utilizan cuando se hace referencia a dos o más personas o cosas que previamente fueron mencionados.
  • Both se usa con sustantivos en plural.
  • Either y neither se utilizan con sustantivos en singular.
