Dinosaur Attack It was a dark November evening with frost in the air. In front of them, the old building looked calm and mysterious, just as Luke 1__________ imagined it. He clutched his ticket and turned to grin at her twin sister, Leia. Together, they took a deep breath and entered the massive wooden doors of the Natural History Museum. Ever since they first saw the film Night at the Museum, where museums display come to life, Luke and Leia had wanted to come for a sleepover here. It was the best birthday present they’d ever had. Inside, the museum was warm and welcoming. A group of families were waiting excitedly. The guide had already begun a welcome speech when Luke, Leia and their parents joined the group. They left their sleeping bags in a room where a twenty-eight-meter model of a blue whale was hanging from the ceiling. Leia found them a spot near a shark display before the group set off on a night-time tour. The museum corridors were unlit, but they had each brought a torch which created strange huge shadows on the wall and ceiling. The scene 2________ shivers down Leia’s spine. The displays in each exhibition were stunning. Luke loved the fossils and dinosaurs, especially the massive Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton. Leia preferred the live animal display and the films about penguins. Several people came up with questions for the tour guide. In the dinosaur exhibition, one girl asked, “Would it be possible to use DNA from fossils to bring a dinosaur back to life? Like in the film Jurassic Park?” “Well, it is probably possible, but you’d normally need DNA from muscles or bones to do that”, answered the guide. “Even if you could do it, there would be ethical problems”, he pointed out. During the tour, they had a chance to chat to other visitors in the group, like thirteen-year-old Adrianna, the girl who had asked questions about dinosaurs. Luke was keen on chatting to another dinosaur enthusiast. Adrianna had all the key facts about these prehistoric creatures at her 3____________: “Did you know most of them weren’t fierce? They were herbivores. They all died about 65.5 million years ago”, Adrianna told them. “I’m mad about paleontology. I’ve dug up fossils, but I’ve never slept in a museum before!” Eventually, they ate their evening snack and settle down to rest. The twins’ minds were whirling with images of the things they had come across their tour: the blue whale above their heads, dinosaurs, sharks, penguins… Luke had just fallen asleep when he felt a sharp pain in his back. “Shark attack!” he thought, sleepily, but it was only Leia. “You’re snoring! It’s getting 4__________ my nerves!” The room was still dark when Leia opened her eyes. What was that noise? It wasn’t Luke’s snoring. It sounded like an animal creeping around. Was that… a giant food? And a tail? Leia’s heart was 5____________. “Luke”, she whispered, “wake up!” The twins stared at a massive creature with rough skin and huge claws approached. The dinosaur lowered its neck, so they were almost face-to-face. “Run!” shouted Luke, just as they heard a laugh. Adrianna was taking a photo of their shocked expressions. “What’s the matter guys? You heard the guide explain that they are setting up a display of animatronic dinosaurs, didn’t you? Did you work out that these are moving models? It’s a special
