Explicación:
para hacer oraciones en pasado simple en ingles se usa el auxiliar debes saber si el verbo es regular o irregular, el verbo regular es el que al pasarle a pasado su estructura o raiz no cambia practicamente nada solo se le agrega d o ed y ya, queda casi igual el verbo pero el verbo irregular ya es mas complejo puesto que toda la raiz de la palabra cambia ejempl0:
buy esen presente pero ese mismo verbo en pasado es bought
(comprar/compre)
cuando afirmas en pasado pones el verbo en pasado y eso es lo unico que le cambias a la oracion pero cuando vas a negar o interrogar usas el auxiliar did y una ves que ya usas did el verbo se pone en presente y es asi como haces una oracion en presente negando
ejemplo
verbo need (necesitar)(verbo regular)
i needed see you; necesitaba verte
i (did not/ didn't) need see you; no necesite verte
did i need see you? necesite verte?
como se ve en el ejemplo para afirmar usas el verbo pasado y para negar no pones el verbo pasado sino presente porque esta usando el auxiliar did, igual para preguntar si usas did no usas verbo pasado.
