Have to indica una obligación externa dada de una tercera persona:

I have to work tomorrow > Tengo que trabajar mañana

Should indica un consejo a uno mismo o a otros. También indica una orden dada de forma muy amable:

I / you should stop smoking > Tendría / Tendrías que dejar de fumar

Ought to se usa igual que should pero es menos común:

You ought to go to the doctor > Tendrías que ir a médico

Had better se usa igual que should, como un consejo o una obligación.
