El primer texto esta escrito en lenguaje formal, el segundo en lenguaje informal.

Lenguaje Formal e Informal.

El lenguaje formal debe seguir un protocolo, su escritura debe ser correcta y adecuada al contexto del texto, se debe evitar el uso de muletillas o modismos.

El lenguaje informal se usa en ambientes relajados normalmente entre familia y amigos, se permite el uso de modismos, jergas y muletillas, su escritura puede contener contracciones y no sigue tantos protocolos.

Mail 1.

Dear Mr. Perkins, I am writing in response to the e- mail I received from you on the 21st July 2002. I am afraid I will be unable to attend to our meeting due to a work meeting arranged on the same day. The only solution to discuss our differences would be to meet another day. Could it be possible to arrange another appointment? Do not hesitate to contact me whenever you find a free day for our meeting. I would be grateful if you could inform me about the day as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you, Yours sincerly, Malcom Bross.

Mail 2.

Dear Peter, I write you because I have read your last e- mail. sorry but I won't be able to go to our meeting because I have a work meeting on the same day. We can only talk about our differences if we meet another day. Can we see each other another day? Feel free to ca ll me when you find a free day to meet. I would be happy if you could tell me about the day asap, looking forward to hearing from you, regards, Malcom.
