A year ago Mrs. Ramsey woke up (wake up) at 1.30 am. At first she didn't know why she (wake up), but then she (hear) a noise. it was a scratching sound. "Shush", she said. "Be quiet, you (be) such a baby!". But really, she was scared herself, but she (want) to be brave. Before she went to the back window to see what was going on she (go) into the kitchen to get a rolling pin. Slowly she (tiptoe) to the window. Mrs Ramsey's heart (beat) fast. Tim, her dog (hide) under the sofa and looked scared. She (hear) two people talk. Before she (can) step away from the window, the glass (break). The robbers (steal) everything from Mrs Ramsey. "This (will) never happen again!" Mrs Ramsey swore to herself. On the next day a technician (install) a security system in her home.
