The novel tells of the adventures and misadventures of a boy named Oliver Twist. His birth in a hospital, where he is orphaned and sometimes passes his childhood to hunger, cold and continuous mistreatment. His subsequent flight to London, where his luck does not improve and he soon finds himself in the company of thieves and other bad-tempered people. After several adventures, they will be lucky enough to fall into the hands of honest people who will help them find news of their origins, their parents and even discover the infamous tricks that their stepbrother was plotting against him. Finally, all the wrongdoing has been fixed and the guilty have been executed, Oliver will enjoy his inheritance and live in the company of those who will help him straighten his destiny.
