Resumen
En este artículo se analizan algunos aspectos que ha tenido el desarrollo de la resolución de problemas en la educación matemática y algunas de las acciones cruciales que conducen a su solución. Se informa el trabajo realizado por estudiantes de bachillerato cuando se enfrentaron a un conjunto de problemas o tareas que involucraron diferentes métodos de solución en un escenario de instrucción basado en resolución de problemas. Durante su implementación, los estudiantes trabajaron en pequeños grupos, presentaron y defendieron sus ideas frente al grupo completo y revisaron sus intentos de solución como resultado de críticas y opiniones que se dieron durante sus presentaciones y discusiones en clase. En este contexto, los estudiantes exhibieron diferentes niveles de entendimiento que les permitieron ir comprendiendo las ideas fundamentales asociadas con la solución y, finalmente, resolvieron las tareas.

Abstract
In this article some aspects related to the development of the resolution of problems in the mathematical education are analyzed as well as some of the crucial actions that lead to their solutions. It is reported the work carried out by high school students when they confronted a set of problems or tasks involving different methods of solutions in an instructional environment focused on the resolution of problems. During the implementation, the students worked in small groups, presented their ideas to the class and defended them, and they revised their own attempts of solution as a result of the critics and opinions that occurred through their presentations and discussions in class. In this context, the students exhibited different levels of understanding that allowed them to comprehend the fundamental ideas associated with the solution and, eventually, they solved the tasks.
