a)

\frac{1}{9}x-3=x+8

\frac{1}{9}x-3+3=x+8+3

\frac{1}{9}x=x+11

\frac{1}{9}x-x=x+11-x

-\frac{8}{9}x=11

9\left(-\frac{8}{9}x\right)=11\cdot \:9

-8x=99

-x=\frac{99}{-8}

x=-\frac{99}{8}

b)

\frac{2}{11}x+\frac{2}{3}=-\frac{1}{2}\\

\frac{2}{11}x+\frac{2}{3}-\frac{2}{3}=-\frac{1}{2}-\frac{2}{3}

\frac{2}{11}x=-\frac{7}{6}

11\cdot \frac{2}{11}x=11\left(-\frac{7}{6}\right)

2x=-\frac{77}{6}

=-\frac{77}{6\cdot \:2}

x=-\frac{77}{12}

c)

x^2-11=6\\x^2-11+11=6+11\\x^2=17\\x=\sqrt{17}

d)

x^2+\frac{2}{3}=12

x^2+\frac{2}{3}-\frac{2}{3}=12-\frac{2}{3}

x^2=12-\frac{2}{3}

x^2=\frac{12\cdot \:3}{3}-\frac{2}{3}

x^2=\frac{12\cdot \:3-2}{3}

12\cdot \:3-2=34

x^2=\frac{34}{3}

x=\sqrt{\frac{34}{3}}

e)

x^2-\frac{1}{9}=-\frac{1}{10}\\

x^2-\frac{1}{9}+\frac{1}{9}=-\frac{1}{10}+\frac{1}{9}
