Explicación paso a paso:

P\left(x+2\right)=x^2-2x-4

P\left(1\right)+P\left(5\right)=?

P\left(x+2\right)=P\left(1\right)=P\left(-1+2\right),\:x=-1

P\left(1\right)\:=P\left(-1+2\right)=\left(-1\right)^2-2\left(-1\right)-4

P\left(1\right)=\left(-1\right)^2-2\left(-1\right)-4=-1

P\left(1\right)=-1

P\left(x+2\right)=P\left(5\right),\:x=3

P\left(3+2\right)=P\left(5\right)=\left(3\right)^2-2\left(3\right)-4

P\left(5\right)=\left(3\right)^2-2\left(3\right)-4=-1

P\left(5\right)=-1

Entonces:

P\left(1\right)+P\left(5\right)=\left(-1\right)+\left(-1\right)

\:P\left(1\right)+P\left(5\right)=-2
