Generalmente se usa any para oraciones negativas, para decir que no hay nada de algo. Ej. There isn't any milk.

Some se usa para oraciones afirmativas, por eso fueron corregidas las frases negativas en las que se usaba some. Sí se puede usar en algunas oraciones negativas, pero no en este caso.
