Una oración esta compuesta por el sujeto y el predicado, el sujeto abarca toda la oración hasta donde empieza el verbo, y el predicado abarca desde el inicio del verbo hasta donde termine la oración, Ej:

Mi mamá me hizo un pastel...

"Mi mamá me" es el sujeto, e "hizo un pastel" es el predicado.

El predicado de una oración comienza donde esta el verbo, entonces:

1. Lisa found her hat. PREDICATE is: Found her hat.

2. My uncle James won the race. PREDICATE is: Won the race.

3. We never eat meat. PREDICATE is: Eat meat.

4. I wrote him a long letter. PREDICATE is: Wrote him a long letter.

5. Jane is cooking dinner. PREDICATE is: Cooking dinner.

6. They will be back soon. PREDICATE is: Back soon.

7. He became very successful. PREDICATE is: Became very successful.

8. The cat jumped on the tree. PREDICATE is: Jumped on the tree.
