Computer Systems

The term compute is generally applied to a Collection of devices that toguether are technically know as a computer system. This system consists of functional components, or parts, for input, storage, control, processing, and output. All – general purpose computer system – have these components, but, their physical characteristics may vary.

The main storage, control and processing components constitute the heart of the computer system. The central processing unit (CPU) has been designed by the manufacturer to control and carry out Basic instructions to that particular computer. It is there that data processing is done.

The computer system is divided into two parts. The first is the hardware, that is, the mechanical parto f the system. The second part is the software, which consists of the program that are processed. Software is of great value in the sense that the results will depend on the quality of the program.

Becouse programs are so important, many large companies that have Computers also have many people specialized in designing software for their particular needs. These people are the progammers. Small companies frequently hire programmers for a periodo f time from firms that specialized in preparing softwares.
