l superlativo, como ya mencioné, habla de una cosa que es “lo más” – así lo estás comparando con toda la categoría o grupo de cosas.

Otra nota antes de empezar: no todos los adjetivos se prestan a hacerse comparativo o superlativo.
Algunos como awake y asleep no tienen mucho sentido en comparativo, porque uno normalmente no está más dormido que otro.
Otros ejemplos: pregnant o dead. Una persona puede estar embarazada o muerta, pero no más que otra.
