ALGUIEN QUE SEPA INGLÉS ME PUEDE DECIR SI ESTO ESTÁ BIEN ESCRITO, ES SOBRE UN LIBRO DE GANDHI CUYA AUTORA ES SUE KENDALL PERO NO ENCUENTRO NADA SOBRE ELLA (SI ALGUIEN SABE ALGO SOBRE ESTA AUTORA TAMBIEN ME SERVIRIA, SI ES POSIBLE EN INGLÉS)
- Who is the writer? Find some information on interntet about him/her.
The writer of this book is Sue Kendall but there is nothing on the internet about her, for that reason Saúl and I have decided to tell something about another writer who has written a gandhi book like Sue Kendall.
But first I am going to say the only thing I know about this writer,Sue Kendall is a published author of children's books. She is the writer of Gandhi and of another book called Villains, which we could also have chosen. That's the only thing i can say about her.
Now, I’m going to tell you something about another writer that I have found, Rowena Akinyemi.
Rowena Akinyemi is British, and after many years in Africa, she now lives and works in Cambridge. She was worked in English Language Teaching for twenty years, in Africa and England, and has been writing ELT fiction for ten years. Love or money? Was her first story for the Oxford Bookworms Library, and she has now written several other stories for the series, including Remeber Miranda and The Witches of Pendle (both at Stage 1). She has also written books for children. One of her favourite pastimes is reading detective stories. She is the writer of another book of Gandhi.
- Did you enjoy reading the book? Yes/ No. Why?
Yes, I have enjoyed reading this book, because this book is very entertaining and interesting. Also, this book is perfect for discovering Gandhi's life, since his whole life is well explained. When I started reading the book, I remembered when we were told at school what Gandhi had done, every time Peace Day approached. I really liked the book because I always wanted to know more about Gandhi since I knew very little about him and with this book I already know what his life is about.
- Who is your favourite character from the book? Describe him or her.
Gandhi is small and thin, bald and used to wear sandals. he was religious, kind and respectful. Supporter of the nonviolent struggle, Gandhi was born in 1869 in an India dominated by the British Empire. Along with his family, he suffered the deprivation of fundamental rights. He married at the young age of 13 with Kasturba Makanji and after this union organized by the families, he was sent to London in 1891 to study law. He fought for the rights of his fellow citizens in that African nation. He took the reins of the battle for the independence of his homeland, always using peaceful means. He did not seek to be a politician, but he ended up being one. For defending his philosophy, he spent several years in prison. He was 79 years old when he was assassinated in New Delhi in 1948
