How stupid can you be? I thought as Jake decided to get out of the car whilst Henry's gun - now in Jason's hand - released its lead bullets. Every single one of them had been released, all of them, that is, except the very last bullet. Jake stood in the pouring rain, his brown hair slapped against his forehead, with no sign of the hatred that should have been permanently placed in his heart.
"Jason, put down the gun," he ordered with a voice full of authority.
"Why? We both knew that after Sophie died, you'd be the first to be killed," his lips form an evil smile and Jake blinked, then held out his arms as if he were Jesus on the cross.
"Go on then. She died, you went mad and I wanted to join her. Do it, it's a win-win. At least she'll be happy," and so I watched, horrified, as my best friend fell to the floor in a river of blood.
