Respuesta:
1. He was working very hard in his factory when he was suddenly dismissed without a reason.
2. What were you doing while I was ironing in the kitchen?
3. I was playing the recorder and I disturbed you while you were studying.
4. Charles was having a shower but he slipped and he broke a leg.
5. Jackie was combing her hair when her daughter knocked on the door.
Ej. Charles was having a shower (pasado continuo) but (se corta la acción) he slipped and he broke a leg (interrupción, pasado simple) - Charles estaba tomando una ducha CUANDO (but/when) se tropezó y se quebró la pierna.
I was playing the recorder and I disturbed you WHILE (mientras) you were studying. las dos son en pasado continuo, ninguna corta a la otra.
