The Buenosairean Supreme Court of Justice summoned to a meeting of obligatory attendance to all the penal judges for the next Friday to treat the serious situation that the prisoners in the jails of the province of Buenos Aires are going through.
The highest court summoned for 11 the judges of Guarantees and Criminal Execution and one representative for each Oral Criminal Court at the headquarters of the Institute of Judicial Studies, and only magistrates on duty were exempt from said obligation.
"The call is made in the face of the worrying situation of people deprived of liberty housed in police stations, city halls and units of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service; and in the framework of various measures adopted by the Supreme Court of Justice, as well as in the development of the Inter-institutional Dialogue Table carried out on December 19, ”the Court indicated.
