La historia comienza con Talia llorando en el parque, estaba muy triste porque le había dicho cosas terribles a su mamá Ana. A su lado se acerca un viejo hombre al cual le cuenta por qué estaba tan triste, el señor le recomendó a Talia que vaya a un lugar llamado El almacén de las palabras terribles y le dijo que podría tomarse la tranvía y que baje en la última estación , allí encontraría ese lugar. Talia se encuentra con un chico de la misma edad que su hermano en la tranvía, llamado Pablo. Este chico se dirige al mismo lugar que Talia, él le cuenta que estaba allí porque le había dicho cosas terribles a su mejor amigo Jaime. Miguel, el padre de Talia se encuentra tomando un café cuando lo llaman desde el hospital para avisarle al tranvía en el que iba Talia había chocado y qué se tenía en coma, lo que era más antes posible al hospital. Más tarde, Ana se entera y va rápidamente a verla. En la misma habitación que se encontró Talia también estaba Pablo, en coma. Ana y Miguel conocieron a Jaime, quien estaba todo el tiempo al lado de Pablo. En el almacén de las palabras terribles Talia y Pablo aprendieron muchas cosas sobre las palabras que habían dicho, aprendieron que no siempre uno dice exactamente lo que quiere decir y usa mal las palabras. Ambos tienen una guía al cual le han tenido todas las preguntas que quisieran, este les dice que en ese lugar el tiempo no existe, que podría volver a su vida normal si quisiera pero nunca más podría volver a este lugar y seguir aprendiendo, pero si se quedaban mucho tiempo cuando regresaran a su vida todo ya cambiado, pues en este lugar el tiempo no existe, pero en el otro mundo el tiempo pasaba. Talia decidida le dijo al guía que había tomado la decisión de volver, quería ver a su madre, padre y hermano. Pablo le deseó mucha suerte, pero le dije que necesitaba quedarse un poco más, seguir aprendiendo. Le prometió que volvería en algún momento. En el hospital Talia abre los ojos y se encuentra en la habitación con su madre, su padre y su hermano, Diego. Y también vio a Jaime, al cual le contó que Pablo le había prometido volver. Tres semanas después de haber despertado, a Talia le dan el alta, ella prometió volver a todas las tardes a visitar a Pablo y acompañar a Jaime, quien seguía acudiendo diariamente a un amigo. El quince de junio, Pablo finalmente abrió los ojos en el hospital, donde lo esperaban Talia y su amigo Jaime.
