I live on an island. There are two routes to the mainland - you can drive over the bridge or take a boat. But when the tide is high there is often a flood and the bridge is underwater.Then you can only go by boat. The waves are big and to keep dry people have to avoid the roads near the sea and walk along the trails in the hills.
