Detective Ramirez walks in and looks around the room. Detective Estevez waits by the door. Ramirez walks up to the dead body and begins to speak.
“The neighbors called the police because of the smell. They say he was very quiet and minded his own business. He rarely had visitors. We need a forensics team here to tell us the exact cause and time of death.” He takes a closer look at the body and continues to describe the scene for Detective Estevez to make notes.
“I see trauma to the head and bruises all over his body. No bullet wound. Take a picture of the dining table. Someone else was here… eating a sandwich…and it wasn’t the victim. The killer ate the sandwich either before or after beating the victim, possibly to death. Either way, this is not a random murder; this was personal. Let’s start tracking down relatives and friends of the victim. We need to talk to anyone who knew him. Someone has to know something. Did you write all that down? Let’s start with the neighbors.”
Detective Estevez looks up from his cell phone. “Uh…I’m sorry I missed that. The cute girl I met at the bar last night just texted me. I think she wants to see me again!”

A chase and shootout occurred tonight in the South Panamerican Highway culminating with the arrest of four subjects who had previously stolen two engines power generators for advertising panels located on the busy thoroughfare.
Colonel Philip Eslava, head of the Highway Patrol, told El Comercio that this is a criminal gang consisting of three adults and a child, who were taken to the police station in Asia.
He explained that they had stolen engines 94.5 kilometer road, hitting two guards, who were referred to a private clinic.
"We have intervened across the road taking the engines, there was a chase and these four criminals captured," he said. The chase ended at kilometer 82.5 without registering wounded and intervention occurred after 9 pm

Esta noche se produjo una persecución y tiroteo en la Carretera Panamericana Sur que culminó con el arresto de cuatro sujetos que previamente habían robado dos motores generadores de energía para paneles publicitarios ubicados en la concurrida vía.
El coronel Philip Eslava, jefe de la Patrulla de Carreteras, le dijo a El Comercio que se trata de una banda criminal compuesta por tres adultos y un niño, que fueron llevados a la estación de policía en Asia.
Explicó que habían robado motores de 94.5 kilómetros de camino, golpeando a dos guardias, que fueron remitidos a una clínica privada.
"Hemos intervenido cruzando la carretera tomando los motores, hubo una persecución y estos cuatro criminales fueron capturados", dijo. La persecución terminó en el kilómetro 82.5 sin registrar heridos y la intervención ocurrió después de las 9 p.m.
