DROP to the floor on your hands and knees before the earthquake knocks you over. This position protects you from a fall, but allows you to move if necessary.

COVER your head and neck (under your entire body if possible) under the protection of a sturdy table or desk. If you don't have a close guard, throw yourself near an interior wall or next to a low cabinet that can't fall on you and cover your head and neck with your arms and hands. Try to stay away from windows or glass that can break or objects that can fall on top of it.

HOLD ON to your guard (or your head and neck) until the shaking stops. Be prepared to move along with your guard if the shaking changes it.

I hope it works for you, cheers. :3
