Insert the disc to be played into the unit. CD / DVD player software is required to run the disc. All versions of Windows have a player called Windows Media Player. Normally, the disc will start playing automatically. If it doesn't play, or if you want to play a disc that's already inserted, open Windows Media Player, and then, in the Player Library, select the disc name in the navigation pane. If a message is displayed stating that your computer is missing a codec or that a DVD decoder is required, you are probably trying to play, burn, or sync a compressed file using a codec that Windows or Player does not include
